Are you keen to join the fight against COVID-19? Do you enjoy working in a team where good customer service is key? Are you able to ensure a team of people work safely within a clinical environment? Do you want to help fund a humanitarian charity that does amazing work in the disaster response field? If so, this opportunity may be just right for you.
RE:SILIENT is looking for Deputy Site Leads to assist with the management of its testing operations at Reading Football Club. The Express Testing Site supports Local Authorities in England with COVID-19 testing which is crucial to monitoring COVID-19 infection rates.
You will be working closely with the Site Leads to manage a team of workers and ensure the highest level of customer experience, clinical governance and adherence to site-specific Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Standards.
You will be responsible for managing the team scheduling via Planday, our staffing system. The operation runs 13 hours a day, 7 days a week and so an interest in accurate scheduling and attention to detail is essential. As the site operates seven days a week it is essential that you are able to work at the weekends.
You will step into the role of Site Lead when required, and will assist with daily administrative tasks such as stock control, distribution of PPE and testing equipment, report end-of-day statistics, dealing with staff issues and concerns, and liaising with the RE:SILIENT Operations and Recruitment teams to provide coaching and induction of new COVID -19 Testers.
RE:SILIENT is the commercial subsidiary of RE:ACT Disaster Response, a humanitarian charity operating in the UK and overseas. All of RE:SILIENT’s profits go to RE:ACT to support its humanitarian work.
If you have experience of managing people, can foster a good team atmosphere and prioritise conflicting needs with tight deadlines, you might be the person we are looking for.
You will need to pass a Tester Training one day course (provided by Cignpost, the organisation with overall responsibility for the Express Testing Site) in order to be successful in your application. You will also need to be flexible with regards to working hours (including weekends) and be a great team player with a can do approach.
In return we can offer you flexible working on a casual worker agreement, a competitive pay of £13.83 per hour with a £5.00 per shift food allowance, plus an hourly holiday pay rate of £1.67. Shifts are typically 7:30 – 14:00 or 14:00 – 20:30 including paid breaks. Double shifts can also be worked.
RE:ACT is an equal opportunities employer actively promoting equality, diversity and inclusion. We positively encourage applications from all suitably qualified and eligible candidates irrespective of age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.
